Roland Sands from California always surprises with sensational bikes based on Harley Davidson Softtail, V-Rod or Sportster. With his participation in the design of the BMW R NineT, the Indian FTR and now also the BMW R18, he also became a big name in Europe.

RSD is also developing a Riding Gear collection in the USA: jackets, shirts, gloves and accessories that skilfully combine classic biker style with functionality. All jackets have been personally tested by Roland Sands for riding comfort and protection and are continually optimized.

The RSD leather jackets, for example, are made from oiled, washed and then hand-waxed cowhide and have pockets for protectors on the shoulders, elbows and back. In addition to fit and workmanship, Roland Sands reflects a love of functional detail.

Roland Sands, known from the Biker Build Offs at DMAX and Discovery Channel, rode his first RM50 dirt bike at the age of 5. In 10 years as a professional rider with numerous course records in Europe and the USA, he won the 1998 AMA 250 GP Championship. During his career, Roland Sands broke his bones more than 30 times. After injuring his liver, he devoted himself to custom building instead of racing - with the same success first in his parents' company, Performance Machine, he later founded his own label "Roland Sands Design".
