In the 1960s, the newly emerging subculture of rockers and their café racers took over England's streets, much to the chagrin of the establishment. The machines were named after the cafés in the suburbs, from where the illegal street races started. The motorcycle was the most important scene element and was modified and rebuilt according to all the rules of the art. Low-profile machines with clip-on handlebars and open mufflers were rebuilt to achieve speeds in excess of 100 mph (the ton). Models were the racing machines of the Tourist Trophy on the Isle of Man, such as the Norton Manx.

300g organically grown fair trade coffee beans, roasted in Winterthur.
