The Matchless G80 was built by AMC (Associated Motorcycles) in Great Britain for 20 years between 1946 and 1966. The single-cylinder, four-stroke, 500cc motorcycle, identical to the AJS Model 18, was AMC's main export product.

The Matchless G80 is a very typical post-war and early 1950's motorcycle. For example, the engine was operated with a compression ratio of 5.9:1 because the fuel was of very poor quality after World War II. The low compression also has the advantage that the G80 is easy to kick off and is still flexible and therefore fuel-efficient even at very low speeds.

The G80 Clubman in its original , drivable condition can be viewed in Ostermünchen by prior appointment. The motorcycle is being sold by Ruote da Sogno and VAT is not reclaimable or applicable. There are still 280 euros for the deregistration of the papers in Italy on top of the purchase price.
