Ashley Watson
The young British designer Ashley Watson is an enthusiastic year-round motorcyclist. And a natural fashionista, with a love of detail, almost fanatical. But always striving to get the best out of quality, appearance and functionality. For the Eversholt jacket, for example, he rode over 4,000 miles on his bike all by himself to test the workmanship in all conditions and weather and to continually optimise it. Ashley Watson works with various specialised manufacturers in Great Britain and so his products are still made entirely in Great Britain. The heritage-inspired shapes combined with the most modern functionality of the materials are his top priority - without the items looking high-tech. This is motorcycle clothing as it should be! We are looking forward to seeing many more masterpieces from him.
Over the past year, filmmaker Asami Ohkubo has followed the development of the Eversholt jacket from the first sketch through testing to production. In this film, Ashley Watson discusses his approach to designing motorcycle clothing, what inspires him and the complete, very interesting process when developing a product.
